The lip stain that stains everything BUT lips kills me. If you haven't tried it yet, acetone-based nail polish remover can remove many a stain or otherwise immovable ick. Re: Ulta, only one of all my orders from them has ever come without something broken or leaked out, and that order had items I'd never ordered in it (???). They've never offered any replacements or anything either. When I order from them I now consider it a sort of Russian Roulette situation. Thanks for ball the specific and useful info here.

I’d add videos from influencers about current generic lip glosses! The ones where the influencer apply the gloss and shouts “oh my GOD look it’s soooo gorgeous!!11” But all you see is generic transparent substance which does nothing to the lips, like you just applied water, so i don't know where the “oh my god” part comes in to play. I remember Y2K lipglosses and those were the ish, really cool and unique colors. Current lipglosses are generic at best.

I think it looks unnatural and unbecoming when a woman gets a really thin nose job but you can tell the original width from the part that is between the eyes. It looks fake and disproportionate.

Thank you so much for talking about veneers. This was about ten years ago, but I was asked to do an endorsement for a dentist. I was hoping for Invisalign, but he wanted to give me veneers because “that’s what I’m good at.” Once I learned what veneers were and that it takes destroying your natural teeth to get them, I was appalled that this man could get away with making this recommendation to patients. If a person has healthy teeth, giving them veneers is doing harm. I discontinued the endorsement. Years later, I was asked to endorse them again and said “No, I don’t feel comfortable referring people to a person who will destroy their mouth.” Also, people should be very aware that this is a huge dental company and they used market research to determine the most likely demographic to purchase veneers (in my area and at that time) it was the African-American community, so their initial advertising dollars were spent on urban radio stations. They were successful, so then began moving into the white radio markets. Doctors do their research and find the endorser/influencer to represent the demo they are trying to reach. Keep in mind that your favorite influencer may genuinely love the product they are pitching, but may not have considered the long-term effects. You are being targeted as a consumer, so take care of yourself. Think about what will happen ten years down the road when your veneer breaks over the Thanksgiving holiday and you have a tiny, nubby, little spike tooth for an entire week because you can’t get in to get it fixed. Veneers are a wonderful option for people with unhealthy teeth, but don’t destroy a healthy set for a “perfect” smile.

Seems like Your Spiritueuse Double Vanilla sample was from an old bottle. Fresh juice is just amazing smooth a bit smoky creamy vanilla. One of my bottles gone wrong and that is the smell You are experiencing.

This was an interesting discussion & I loved all the comments! I'm surprised no one mentioned the absolutely worst permanent "trend" today for women: tatoos! Ugh!

After a couple of years experimenting with makeup as a teenager, I came to a few decisions about makeup trends I could live without. I decided they were more just fetishes which did not add anything to a girl's attractiveness, were a lot of bother for nothing, and I was attractive enough without fussing with. 1) False lashes. Mascara was good enough. 2) Foundation. It wasn't good for my skin, and felt like a mask. A few touch ups with concealer here and there, and a little powder were was sufficient. 3) Fake nails. This really is a time waster. Who cares what colors or weird shapes you do your nails in? I need to use my hands without being crippled by fancy nails. Keep them clean and relatively short. I also learned something nice about not going all out with makeup every day. On special occasions when I dressed up and used more makeup, people would say, "Wow, you look great tonight!"

I've definitely had a lot of issues with Ulta, including them combining my account with my sister. ???? I've given up on trying to get them unmerged. I would agree that their customer service historically has been irritating in my experience. I would say 7/10 packages come damaged from Ulta. In store, I've found that they are reluctant to let me return items even though they're within the 60 day return policy. I had to contact them recently and I actually received good service through the emails - and they even followed up without me pursuing them. So I am very surprised but hopeful.

They’re not actually all beautiful no matter what we can’t be like well I love your face but your now same face is not ‘as natural’. I think we need to get rid of "tarantula" eyes, faces of the dead (no colour, shading, or blush, with nude lips), overblown lip injections, dayglow teeth and tooth gaps (shudder!), caterpillar brows (let's try for something close to plausible). And while I'm on the soapbox, i am thoroughly sick of influencers stressing "must have" products, especially if there's a different new dozen indispensible products every week. We want recommendations to help us choose the best products for us to save money! Stepping off my soapbox, to go and wash my face, and indulge in pampering skincare. Thanks for the video, and an opportunity to share my list of things that need to go.

Around October I also could not place Ulta orders online. My favourites list refused to load and my purchase history was gone. I took it as a sign to hold off on buying stuff haha . It got resolved on its own around March 🤷‍♀️
